Tica Tostada
Ingredients:
1 Whole wheat tortilla30g Romaine Lettuce
30g Collo Rosso Lettuce
60g Tomato
40g Onion
2 tbs Lime juice
10g Cilantro
25g Sliced Olives
30g Cheddar Cheese
10g Sour Cream
3 Avocado Slices
Enough oil to fry the tortilla
Preparation:
In a really deep pan, preheat the oil. When it is already hot, put the tortilla into the oil and use a soup spoon (big one) to get the tortilla’s shape. When the tortilla is ready, take it off the oil. Then, wait until the tortilla basket turns cold.
For Pico de Gallo, cut the tomato in little squares, the onion as well. Chop the cilantro and mix it up with the lime juice. Add salt and pepper.
To prepare the Tica tostada, fill the basket with lettuce, olives, cheddar cheese, add Pico de Gallo, sour cream and the avocado on the top.
You can join your Tica tostada with the protein of your selection: fish, chicken and even tofu. Delicious!!
