Peanut-headed moth!!

This week, Gabriel, one of our servers at Lapa Rios, found this amazing and really strange bug in the restaurant area. It was a “Peanut-headed moth”!

It´s the first time most of us have seen one here, and we know it´s not very common. It was incredible to see and of course, we can all understand where the name comes from!  While it is odd looking, it is harmless.  But when it feels threatened by a predator, it will release a skunk like spray.
